JACK FERRICK
Co-Founder & CEO
Head Coach
Coach Jack Ferrick, Co-Founder and CEO of Catchers U®, is a respected leader in the baseball and softball community with over 18 years of coaching experience in the Northern Virginia area. A graduate of Colonial Forge High School in Stafford, VA, Coach Ferrick went on to play collegiate baseball at the United States Naval Academy, where he honed both his athletic and leadership skills.
His coaching journey includes impactful roles at several area high schools, including Colonial Forge, Freedom (Woodbridge), and Osbourn Park. Through his dedication and expertise, Coach Ferrick continues to inspire young athletes both on and off the field.

JEFF BAKER
Hitting Instructor
Baker is an 11-year MLB veteran. He starred at Gar-Field High School before attending Clemson University, where he still holds the school’s career home run record (59) and 2nd in career RBIs (226). Baker earned multiple ACC, National, and All-American honors (3x), and appeared in two College World Series. He also made history with USA Baseball as the first American to compete on four different national teams — 16U (1997), 18U (1999 - World Champion), and the Collegiate National Teams in 2000 and 2001.
Throughout his Major League career, Baker played for the Colorado Rockies (including the 2007 World Series), Chicago Cubs, Detroit Tigers, Atlanta Braves, Texas Rangers, and Miami Marlins.
He has been inducted into both the Gar-Field High School Athletics Hall of Fame (Class of 2016) and the Clemson University Athletic Hall of Fame (Class of 2018).
