Catchers U® Middle School Catchers Elite Summer Camp Led by Coach Jack Ferrick, the Middle School Catchers Summer Camp is a 1-day intensive, hands-on training session designed to elevate the skills of baseball catchers at the Middle School Level. Designed to cover all aspects of the catching position—from receiving and blocking to footwork, throwing, and game management, this 1-day camp is structured to challenge players through: - Position-specific drills that build elite-level skills - Personalized feedback to target each athlete’s development - Situational training that replicates real-game scenarios - A high-energy, competitive environment designed to push each catcher to excel Date: Friday, June 27th Time: 10:00am - 3:00pm Grades: 5th - 8th Gender: Boys & Girls (Baseball Players) Price: $250 per player *Space is limited to 16 catchers to ensure quality instruction. Location: Catchers U® | 6781 Kennedy Rd., Suite 7, Warrenton, VA 20187 Meet Coach Jack Ferrick: - Co-Founder & CEO of Catchers U® - Over 18 years of experience in the Northern Virginia area - Graduate of Colonial Forge High School in Stafford, VA - Collegiate baseball player at United States Naval Academy - Coached at Colonial Forge High School, Freedom (Woodbridge) High School, and Osbourn Park High School Topics will include: Receiving & Framing - Master the art of receiving pitches with soft hands - Proper body positioning - Framing techniques that help steal strikes and control the game. Blocking & Tracking - Enhance catcher's ability to block pitches in the dirt - Read the ball out of the pitcher’s hand - React with confidence in game situations Throwing Mechanics & Pop Time - Develop efficient, repeatable throwing mechanics - Focus on quick and accurate throws to second base - Improve your pop time through drills and technique refinement Pitch Calling & Game Management - Learn how to call pitches - Manage a game plan - Build trust with pitching staff Mental Toughness & Leadership - Lead your team with confidence - Stay composed under pressure - Develop the resilience needed to thrive behind the plate Equipment Needed: - Catcher’s gear including helmet, glove, chest protector, and shin guards - Water bottle - Lunch and snacks *PLEASE NOTE*: Catchers will need to bring lunch as lunch is not provided.
